About Chuck

HomeThanks for Stopping By

I’m a California native who moved with his family at the age of five to the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, where I’ve lived ever since.

I’ve had the good fortune to enjoy multiple professions, which suits me well as I’m a man with many interests and an insatiable desire to explore them all. I’ve put bread on my table by doing everything from automotive repair to evangelizing project management practices to a very large engineering staff at a Fortune 500 company.

Like my grandfather who served in World War I and my father who served in World War II, I’ve proudly served my country in an overseas war as a member of the US armed forces. I served in operation Iraqi Freedom in the Army Reserve, Military Police Corps.

I’ve received certification by the State of California Office of Emergency Services as a Search Manager and have served as the Director of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Team and as Associate Director of Allied Agencies Search and Rescue (now defunct). I’ve managed searches in the Santa Cruz mountains and have participated in numerous other searches, including the search for Polly Klaas in 1993. I’ve also received certification as a Swift Water Rescue Technician and High Angle Rescue Technician. For a time, I trained a rescue dog hopeful with the California Rescue Dog Association (CARDA).

I’ve always been a bit of an adrenaline junkie and my hobbies have included skydiving, SCUBA diving, downhill and cross-country skiing, motorsports, golf, tennis, camping, backpacking and hiking.

I’m an avid reader of anything educational, though I’ve spent more than my fair share of time reading about modern military history, the psychology of personal performance, and business and economics.

If there’s anything else you’d care to know about me, please don’t hesitate to ask!
